For years we have struggled with how to provide presbyteries and churches a helpful resource that walks through the process of starting new churches. Now we have found a way to help! Download Starting New Churches: A Process of Discernment, a 16-gathering study that will take you from “zero” to “calling a pastor.” Please feel free to use and modify it as much as you want.

The Office of Church Growth

Welcome to the Office of Church Growth of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). Our office produces and identifies resources for congregations and middle governing bodies that are helpful in growing healthy, missional and vital congregations.

New Church Development and Congregational Transformation works in partnership with pastors, committees and middle governing bodies to provide training, resources and consultation in planting and growing new congregations.
