PC users: The entire Christmas Joy Offering CD is included in the compressed file named CJO_mac.zip. Click the link below to begin downloading. Create a folder on your hard drive to save the compressed file (CJO_mac.zip) in, then unzip (or extract) it. This will put all needed files in the folder you created. We suggest burning them to a CD. If you are going to run the presentation from your hard drive, open pptview.exe to launch the PowerPoint viewer. Then select the file named ChristmasJoyOffering_automatic.ppt to have the presentation run automatically or the file named ChristmasJoyOffering_manual.ppt to have it run manually.

How To Use this Christmas Joy Offering PowerPoint

There are three different resources available in this package, whether you get them online or from a CD:

The Christmas Joy Offering background PowerPoint
If your congregation likes to project your messages, announcements, scripture readings, hymn selections, etc. on a screen to make them easier for members to read, consider using this background to frame those messages this Advent. It can be used with or without the accompanying music and can be extended to whatever length you need for your announcements.

The automated Christmas Joy Offering minute for mission PowerPoint
This two-minute presentation, complete with music, explains the mission of the offering and how the two groups benefiting from the offering support that mission with their ministries. It can be used instead of a live minute for mission or can supplement one.

The manual Christmas Joy Offering minute for mission PowerPoint
This presentation, which can be used with or without music, offers the same visuals as the automated version, but includes a script that a presenter can read to accompany the different frames of the PowerPoint. (Right-click the "Christmas_Joy" CD icon within "My Computer", and select "Explore" to view all files on the CD).

The script is marked to allow an accompanist to know when to advance to the next screen. To view the script in the speakers notes box during the presentation, you must have the full version of the PowerPoint software. The PowerPoint viewer installed on this CD does not support viewing of the speakers notes.
