NNPCW seeks social justice in the Borderlands
Applications due November 7th, 2008
NNPCW is hosting a four-day delegation to the U.S.-Mexico border with BorderLinks, a bi-national, nonprofit educational organization dedicated to raising awareness and inspiring action around the global political economics.
BorderLinks was co-founded by the Moderator of the 216th General Assembly Rick Ufford-Chase in 1987 in an effort to educate those who seek justice in the borderlands between Mexico and the United States. BorderLinks programs focus on cross-border relationship-building opportunities, issues of immigration, community formation and development, and social justice.
The NNPCW delegation with BorderLinks will have a specific emphasis on women’s issues and theological reflection. Learn more and find out how you can get involved. |

Away from my home church for most of the year, I don’t have the base of support that I used to. My faith in the Trinity is not one that I share with many at my college. I was lost in a sea of intellectuals without organized religion, not knowing how, where or when to express my faith. I didn’t find the place, time and manner to do so. They found me. Keep reading.

The Leadership Event is about creating relationships, learning about others' lives and sharing your own story. Photo by Virginia Hines
It is a great opportunity to share and learn
from one another and gain enthusiasm to take back to your campus
group. The annual event
is a four-day conference/retreat in August that brings college
women from across the country to reflect on their growing Christian
faith, speak their voices and launch into action on a specific
social justice issue. Participants connect with one
another and unite their voices into a common mission of spirit
and service.

The NNPCW leadership event is open to all young women in college from rising
freshmen to graduating seniors. Campus members
of NNPCW will be granted the first opportunity to reserve space at the
event. Campuses may send up to five students. |
